The pierced bubble shapes that dot the exterior of the Lacey Bee Bowl are McRae's interpretation of natural, oceanic forms as they deteriorate over time. Shown in Nairobi Blue and Coral.
MEASUREMENTS:
Sculpted low-fire earthenware, measures 7.5" H x 7.5" W. Dishwasher and food safe.
PROCESS:
This bowls is hand thrown with low-fire earthenware. After curing for several days, its form is smoothed and prepped for the carving process. Each perforation is tooled, carved, and cleaned several times in order to create a finished surface. After a bisque firing, it is glazed and fired a final time.
