The pierced bubble shapes that dot the exterior of the Lacey Lo Bowl are McRae's interpretation of natural, oceanic forms as they deteriorate over time. MEASUREMENTS:
Sculpted low-fire earthenware, large measures 16" W X 6" H. Dishwasher and food safe.
PROCESS:
This bowls is hand thrown with low-fire earthenware. After curing for several days, its form is smoothed and prepped for the carving process. Each perforation is tooled, carved, and cleaned several times in order to create a finished surface. After a bisque firing, it is glazed and fired a final time.
