The pierced bubble shapes that dot the exterior of the Lacey Vase are McRae's interpretation of natural, oceanic forms as they deteriorate over time. Shown in Lavender, Eggplant, White, Matte Black and Chartreuse.
MEASUREMENTS:
Sculpted low-fire earthenware, measures 6.5" H x 3.5" W. All vases are dishwasher and food safe.
PROCESS:
This vase is hand thrown with low-fire earthenware. After curing for several days, its form is smoothed and prepped for the carving process. Each perforation is tooled, carved, and cleaned several times in order to create a finished surface. After a bisque firing, it is glazed three or four times and fired a final time.
