The large, concentric circles of the Chalet pattern allow light to travel through the walls of the Bee Bowl, creating an interesting play of shadow and light around the exterior of the piece. All of McRae's bowls are food-safe. Shown in Nairobi Blue and Matte Black.
MEASUREMENTS:
Sculpted low-fire earthenware, large measures 11" H x 11" H. All bowls are food and dishwasher safe.
PROCESS:
This bowl is hand thrown with low-fire earthenware. After curing for several days, its form is smoothed and prepped for the carving process.Each perforation is tooled, carved, and cleaned several times in order to create a finished surface. After a bisque firing, it is glazed and fired a final time.
